Organist

The Episcopal Church of St. John Baptist in Thomaston is seeking a part-time organist to help lead the 10am service on Sundays on our beautiful, well-maintained 2003 Bedient Pipe Organ. Duties include choosing and playing a prelude, communion music, and postlude as well as accompanying our congregation playing hymns and service music which would be chosen in collaboration with our priest. Services are once-weekly with the exception of Holy Week and the Christmas season. Additional opportunities to play for weddings and funerals are also available in addition to the regular contract. Our Organ and Clavinova piano are available throughout the week for practice, and we would be happy for our musician to use our instruments to teach lessons.
