Open Positions at St. John Baptist

St. John Baptist seeks a cheerful, friendly, part-time (12 hrs./week) caretaker who will be responsible for weekly cleaning and minor general maintenance of the church facility, interior and exterior. 

Other duties include:

• In conjunction with the Junior Warden, help oversee contractors for larger projects, hiring and oversight as well as completion.
• Ensure the church is locked up each night, lights are out, and no one is inside.
• Make daily rounds looking for debris, flammables, valuables, and items out of place.
• Help with spring cleaning, re-stowage of high use spaces, and various work projects.

Applicants must have at least a high-school diploma or equivalency; a minimum of two years of handyman work or relevant experience, and be able to complete Safe Church training and a background check. Pay is $30/hr. Anyone interested should email the church office.
