The gathered community of St. John's is the gathering of her ministers. We are all called to serve God in the place and with the people whom we live.
Worship is the core of our being, offering thanks. Seeking forgiveness and joining with others in prayer begins our week and all our actions.
We are one of several churches in Thomaston, Maine. We all work together, along with other area churches and faith communities in our midcoast region.

Our parish consists of people who live here year round and people who live here only part of the year, and also people who come regularly but are also members elsewhere. We view our congregation as those who are called to be here. So whether you arrive for the first time, or have been coming all your life, we will accept your calling to be with us.
We are a part of the larger Church, so we welcome all Christians to our table. We will work with all in the mission of God here in Maine. We include in our community the recovery groups that meet at St. John's and others who use our facilities and/or our people. We are a member of the Area Interfaith Alliance, the Thomaston Interchurch Fellowship and the Penobscot Bay Chamber of Commerce
